Yards and Grounds Associate

Position Summary:

The yards & grounds associate is responsible for performing basic grounds and building maintenance duties, as well as cleaning duties.

Essential Duties, Functions and responsibilities:

Reporting to Supervisor on a daily basis to perform duties as assigned

Removing trash and debris from the outside grounds

Remove and/or mowing weeds and grass from the parking lot and around buildings/structures on or adjacent to the grounds

Cleaning the patio, outside break areas, and restrooms as scheduled

Painting or general upkeep of structures on the grounds

Other duties as assigned by supervisor/management, which could include working on the line or in other areas as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Follows all safety, USDA, and GMP policies and guidelines.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions & policies.

Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.

Must be able to work at line speed upon completion of training period.

Accountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours.

Must be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Must pass a background check, drug screen and pre-employment physical.

Some positions may require the ability to read, write, and/or speak English.

Physical Requirements:

Standing (8 hours a day or more).

Lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling (up to and including 50lbs or more).

Operating basic yard equipment (sprayers, weed eaters, mowers, etc).

Walking/climbing stairs. Gripping, grasping, and twisting using hands and wrists.

Bending and stooping for long periods of time.

Working in outside environment that may be hot/humid/cold/wet/dry

Working Conditions/Department Description:

Specific shifts vary, but general work times occur between 6:00AM and 5:00PM. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

There is mandatory seasonal work for approximately 5 to 6 weeks during the months of October and November, which includes working 7 days per week depending on project needs.

May work in damp, cold, hot, and warm environments. Work with loud and noisy machinery

Work with or around chemicals/fumes/pungent odors



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
