Responsible to perform procedures and patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse; provides support services for the Emergency Department (cleaning, stocking, ordering); provides patient transport; performs phlebotomy and EKG's: Perorms multi-skilled patient care actions and services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. May implement BLS. Follows the Medical Centers pain policies and the Patient Safety/Risk Management program. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Because you're committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That's why you'll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Basic/ EMT course, Graduate of CNA course, Certified Phlebotomist, or Medical Assistant; Successful completion of one semester of Registered Nursing School.

  • Certification/Registration: CNA, EMT Basic, Certified phlebotomist, or Medical Assistant.

  • BLS is required.

  • Competent to provide services to patients of all ages. Excellent customer service skills; basic computer skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
